OBJECTIVES

1. To promote the interest of Travel and Tourism / Hospitality Industry

2. To interact among the Tourism Federation Members

3. To develop fellowship among the members

4. To pursue matters concerning travel and tourism ? such as development / improvement of tourism infrastructure, services etc, with various states and Central Government departments / Offices or Organizations or travel industry principals such as airlines, hotels and others

5. To invite guest speakers to address the members to gain knowledge / expertise in any travel and tourism and general matters of tourism interest

6. To facilitate in organizing Trade Fairs / Exhibition related to the industry.

7. To initiate Social Service activities in the Region

8. Membership will be on invitation to be decided by the Membership Committee and subsequently approved by the Executive Committee. The decision of the Executive Committee shall be final and binding.

.	Trichy has the potential for tourism industry. Until up to recent past, there was no professional body in the city to tap the potential of the city. The Airline industry / Hospitality Industry / Travel Industry / Tour Operators / District Tourist Officer, emphasized the need for a professional body to take the challenge in the interest of the district. Based on the above, after protracted interactions with the above body's during March 2009, a consensus was arrived to formulate the above body.	.
